Horrible History: Does religion poison everything?

Saturday, 27 February at
7.30pm.

Free admission

The ‘new atheists’ claim that religion is a malign force in human history and the Christian Church in particular has been a repressive institution responsible for silencing scientists, fomenting wars and persecuting dissent. Professor Coffey will challenge this one-sided view, and highlight some of the constructive contributions Christianity has made to our culture.
